PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Polina UrA Herman has been active in the film industry since 2012. She began her career directly on set, working in various positions — from catering and the costume department to assistant and coordinator roles across different departments. This hands-on experience gave her a deep understanding of all stages of film production and gradually led her to pursue a career as a film producer.

Alongside her on-set work, with a primary education in PR, Polina began organizing film premieres, managing PR campaigns, promoting, and distributing Ukrainian films.

Since 2013, she held the position of PR Director at Insight Media LLC, overseeing communication strategies for the release of Ukrainian films. She later worked at 435 Films LLC and Big Hand Films LLC, specializing in the distribution of Ukrainian cinema.

From 2015, Polina started working as a line and executive producer, participating in the creation of a number of feature and documentary films.

In 2016, she worked as a producer at the state film studio National Cinematheque of Ukraine. In the same year, she founded her own company, UP UA Studio — a full-cycle production company producing projects in feature, documentary, and auteur cinema. Under her leadership, the company produced over 20 films, including international co-productions with Poland, the United Kingdom, and the USA.

Polina has experience producing both short and feature-length films, covering all stages of production — from project development to final release. She also handles international film presentations, festival strategies, partnership building, and co-production coordination.

In 2022, after relocating to the USA, Polina founded UP USA Studio (Los Angeles), developing Ukrainian-American film initiatives and production projects. She also organized numerous social film festivals and events, including the Ukrainian Film Weeks in support of Oleg Sentsov and Ukrainian Film Days in Los Angeles 2022, held in collaboration with the American Cinematheque.

Since 2024, Polina UrA Herman has expanded her professional activity into personal growth coaching, working with clients on both conscious and subconscious levels. She created the transformational game “I Am,” which serves as a practical tool for deep work with female identity, creative potential, and archetypes.

In addition, Polina authored the artistic-psychological book Guide for Provincial Women, sharing her experiences in mental healing, self-discovery practices, and creative exercises for women seeking a new life. She has also launched her own clothing brand, Herman, combining aesthetics of creativity and inner strength.

Currently, Polina is actively preparing her first directorial project — the film The Key, which integrates her expertise in film production, psychology, and coaching.
